24-Hour Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 beaten egg yolks
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. pineapple juice
    1 Tbsp. butter
    dash of salt
    2 c. drained pitted white cherries
    2 c. drained pineapple
    2 c. drained peaches, chopped
    2 c. quartered or miniature marshmallows
    1 c. heavy cream, whipped or 1 carton Cool Whip
Preparation
    Other fruit may be used in the same proportions.
