Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    4 eggs, boiled and sliced
    1/2 c. diced green pepper
    8 slices bacon, cooked and diced
    2 c. mayonnaise
    1 c. diced celery
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. uncooked peas
    1 medium onion, diced
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    4 oz. grated cheese
Preparation
    Tear lettuce into bite size pieces in a 9 x 12-inch dish. Layer the next 6 ingredients in order given.
    Next, mix mayo and sugar; spread on top.
    Top with grated cheese.
    Chill for 24 hours before serving.
    Makes 4 servings.
