Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. All-Bran cereal
    2 c. boiling water
    1 c. Crisco, melted
    3 c. sugar (I use 2 1/2 c.)
    4 eggs, beaten
    1 qt. buttermilk
    5 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
    5 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Put 2 cups bran in a large bowl and pour boiling water over. Let stand for a few minutes.
    Mix shortening.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes in greased muffin tins.
