Lemon Meringue Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 c. hot water
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
3 egg yolks
2 Tbsp. butter
4 Tbsp. lemon juice (juice of 1 lemon)
2 tsp. grated lemon rind
Preparation

Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt in a pan.
Add 1/2 cup water to sugar mixture. Add rest of water and stir until it boils and thickens.
Pour a little of the hot mixture over eggs and mix. Pour eggs into hot mixture and bring to a boil. Remove from stove. Add lemon rind, juice and butter.
Mix well and pour into baked pie shell.
Cover with meringue. Beat 3 egg whites stiff and slowly add 6 tablespoons sugar.
Pile on pie.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 15 minutes.
