Low-Fat, Low Calorie Vanilla Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
1 c. skim milk
2 egg yolks
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Combine sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan; gradually stir in milk and egg yolks.
Bring to a boil over medium-low heat; stir constantly with a wire whisk.
Cook 1 minute or until thickened, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Stir in vanilla; let cool.
Yield:
1 cup (about 16 calories per tablespoon).
Serve over pancakes with fresh raspberries or strawberries or over a fresh cobbler or fruit.
