Old Fashion Pot Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. beef top or bottom roast
    3/4 c. water
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can whole tomatoes
    1/4 tsp. dried thyme
    black pepper to taste
    1 small bay leaf
    1 lb. baby carrots
    12 oz. potatoes, halved or quartered
    2 celery stalks, chopped
    1 medium onion, sliced
    1 Tbsp. parsley
Preparation
    Put roast in pan and brown; drain fat.
    Place rest of ingredients with roast.
    Bake in oven at 350\u00b0 until meat is tender.
