Texas Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 large onions, sliced
    1 large green pepper, minced
    1 lb. hamburg
    2 c. cooked tomatoes
    1/2 c. uncooked rice or 2 c. uncooked noodles
    1 tsp. chili powder
    2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cook peppers and onions in 3 tablespoons Crisco until yellow. Add and fry until meat falls apart.
    Stir tomatoes, rice and spices together.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour. Pour into greased 2-quart casserole.
    Cover and bake, remove cover last 15 minutes. Serves 6.
