One Pot Chicken Dish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 lb. chicken, diced
    1 onion, chopped
    1 bell pepper, chopped
    2 to 3 slices cooked ham, diced (optional)
    2 c. regular rice
    1 can chicken broth
Preparation
    Melt butter in a large skillet.
    Brown chicken on all sides. Then add onion and bell pepper.
    Cook for a few minutes (4 to 5) until onion and bell pepper are soft.
    Next add the ham, rice and chicken broth.
    Add enough water to cover the rice.
    Cover and cook over low-medium heat for about 45 minutes.
    Stir the mixture often.
    More water may need to be added to keep the rice from sticking.
