Prune Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. each: nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, salt and soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. chopped nuts (black walnuts if possible)
    1 c. cooked mashed or chopped prunes
    1 c. salad oil
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Blend all dry ingredients together.
    Add to them alternately with buttermilk.
    Add nuts, prunes, oil and vanilla.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    Cut loose from sides of pan and cut in squares (in pan).
    Pour icing over it.
