Spaghetti Meat Sauce, Japanese Style - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground meat (beef, pork, turkey or combination)
1 large or 2 small chopped onions
1 tsp. chopped ginger
1 tsp. chopped garlic
1 carrot, minced
1 c. ketchup
1 c. tomato juice
1 Tbsp. salt
1 Tbsp. Tonkatsu or teriyaki sauce
1 tsp. sugar
1 to 2 bay leaves
pepper to taste
Preparation

Brown ground meat; drain fat.
Set aside.
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan; stir-fry onion, ginger, garlic and carrot until onion is tender.
Add browned meat, then add ketchup, tomato juice, salt, Tonkatsu or teriyaki sauce, sugar and bay leaves. Simmer for 30 to 40 minutes; stir occasionally.
Add pepper to taste.
Serve over al dente spaghetti and Parmesan cheese.
