Hot Spiced Fruit - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb.) can each: peaches, pineapple, pears, apricots, pitted light sweet cherries
    2 tart apples
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/2 tsp. each: ground nutmeg and cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. ground cloves
    1/3 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. butter
    3 bananas, if desired
    green grapes, if desired
Preparation
    Drain fruit.
    Reserve 1 1/2 cups syrup.
    Put drained fruit in 2 1/2-quart casserole.
    Core and dice apples and mix with lemon juice and then toss with rest of fruit.
    Stir together syrup, brown sugar and spices and pour over fruit.
    Dot with butter. Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Add cut bananas and grapes.
    Bake 5 more minutes.
