Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. plus 1 c. milk
    1 c. cooking rice
    1 1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cook in 4-quart pan over medium heat until rice is absorbed in the liquid, approximate time 1 1/2 to 2 hours, stirring often. Beat together 1 cup milk and 1 large egg and add to rice mixture. Continue cooking over medium heat until it reaches a boiling point, but do not boil.
    Remove from heat.
    Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and sprinkle cinnamon over top.
