Fresh Salsa - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ripe plum tomatoes, peeled and coarsely chopped
    4 scallions, finely chopped
    1 medium garlic clove, minced
    1 Tbsp. finely chopped cilantro (fresh coriander)
    2 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
    2 jalapeno or serrano chilies, finely chopped
    1/2 tsp. Mexican oregano salt
Preparation
    In a large bowl combine the tomatoes, scallions, garlic, cilantro and lime juice.
    If the tomatoes are not very juicy, gradually stir in up to 1/4 cup of cold water to moisten the mixture.
    Stir in the chilies and oregano; season with salt.
