Creamed Cucumbers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cucumber, peeled and sliced thin
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. white vinegar
    1/2 medium onion, sliced thin
    1 c. sour cream
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    pinch of pepper
Preparation
    Combine cucumber, onion and salt and let stand, lightly covered, for at least 2 hours, then drain.
    Place ingredients in a bowl and add sour cream, vinegar, sugar and pepper.
    Fold into cucumber mixture.
    Cover and refrigerate.
    Best if made a day ahead.
    Goes well with chicken, beef or pork.
