Date Loaf Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    1 lb. box dates, cut into small pieces
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Boil milk and sugar until it forms a soft ball or 230\u00b0 on candy thermometer.
    Add dates and nuts; beat until creamy and very thick.
    Put on wet towel.
    Spread along short width of towel and roll up (log-style).
    When cold, slice and serve.
    Store in airtight container.
    Very rich, especially if condensed milk is used.
