Pineapple Cherry Dump Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tall can crushed pineapple, undrained
    1 can cherry pie filling
    1 box cake mix (yellow or butter pecan)
    1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
    1 c. flaked coconut (optional)
    2 sticks margarine
Preparation
    Pour undrained pineapple into a buttered 9 x 13-inch cake pan. Pour cherry pie filling over this and sprinkle cake mix over top. Sprinkle nuts and coconut on top of this.
    Cut margarine into thin patties and arrange on top.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes or until done.
    Check the cake at 35 minutes.
    If not done, continue 4 to 5 minutes.
    Top with Cool Whip, if you wish.
