Seafood Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. butter
    2 qt. water
    2 1/2 lb. fresh okra
    1 pt. raw oysters
    6 Tbsp. flour
    2 1/2 lb. fresh raw shrimp
    6 fresh tomatoes
    1 1/2 lb. fresh crabmeat
    2 lb. fresh fish
    salt to taste
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Add flour.
    Make a smooth paste; stir constantly over fire until a rich brown, being careful not to burn.
    Add water, tomatoes and okra (chopped fine).
    Cook slowly for 1 hour. Add crab, oysters, shrimp (picked and deveined) and fish (minus bones and skin).
    Cook for 15 minutes.
    Add seasonings.
    Soup should be thick.
