Hot Pepper Steamed Mussels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. fresh mussels
    3 tbsp. oil
    2 large onions, finely chopped
    4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
    3 tsp. finely chopped fresh ginger
    3 fresh chillies, seeded, chopped(use up to 5 and leave seeds if you like it very hot)
    1/2 tsp. ground tumeric
    3 tsp. ground coriander
    pinch chilli powder, optional
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. water
    1 tbsp. chopped fresh coriander leaves
    lemon juice to taste
Preparation
    Scrub mussels and beard them. Heat oil in large, deep pan. Fry onions, garlic and ginger slowly until onions are golden.
    Add chillies, turmeric and coriander.
    Stir carefully for a few minutes.
    Add salt and water and simmer covered for 5 minutes. Add mussels, cover and steam until mussels open.
    Remove from heat and add fresh coriander.
    Add lemon juice and salt to taste. Spoon liquid mixture into mussel shells and serve.
