1 stick (1/2 c.) unsalted butter, cut into bits and softened
1/3 c. plus 2 tsp. sugar
2 large eggs
1 c. blanched almonds, ground
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (2 lb.) tin apricot halves, drained
1/2 c. apricot glaze
