Oven Round Steak Dinner - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. round steak (1-inch thick), cut into serving pieces
    enriched flour
    6 medium onions, sliced
    1/4 c. fat
    3 large potatoes, sliced
    1 bay leaf
    1 or 2 cans tomato soup
    1 can French-cut green beans, drained
Preparation
    Season meat with 2 teaspoons salt and dash of pepper. Roll in flour. Cook onions in hot fat until tender but not brown; remove onion and brown meat slowly on both sides. Place meat in 3-quart casserole; add onions, potatoes and bay leaf. Pour soup over. Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Add beans; cook 10 to 15 minutes more.
