Irish Potato Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    1 tsp. cocoa
    1 c. warmed mashed potatoes
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. milk
    1 c. chopped nuts
    3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter.
    Add vanilla, cocoa and potatoes. Sift dry ingredients.
    Add alternately with milk.
    Fold in nuts and egg whites.
    Pour into 2 prepared layer pans.
    Bake for 35 minutes at 350\u00b0.
