Cream Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. butter
    4 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk
    2 c. chicken broth
    1 chopped onion
    1 to 2 c. potatoes
    2 c. chopped cauliflower or broccoli
    1 c. chopped celery
    diced ham, cheese, other vegetables (optional)
Preparation
    Melt butter in soup kettle; add flour and salt to form a paste. Add milk. Stir until slightly thick. Add chicken broth, onion, potatoes, cauliflower and/or broccoli and celery. Simmer until vegetables are soft/firm.
