Helen'S Surprise Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple
    1 c. sugar
    1 pkg. jello
    1 c. hot water
    1 c. grated cheese
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. whipped cream or Dream Whip
Preparation
    Boil pineapple and sugar.
    Add this, while hot, to jello which has been dissolved in hot water.
    Let cool.
    Add cheese and pecans.
    Place in refrigerator.
    When almost congealed, fold in whipped cream or Dream Whip.
