Quick And Easy Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. flour
    1 1/2 lb. round steak (3/4-inch thick)
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. water
    1 clove garlic, minced
    4 thin slices lemon
    1 can tomato soup
    1 or 2 large green peppers, in strips
    1 tsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Pound flour into steak with a hammer or edge of saucer.
    Brown steak on both sides in shortening.
    Add remaining ingredients. Cover; cook over low heat until steak is tender.
    Stir often. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
