Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    3 2/3 c. milk
    6 c. thinly sliced potatoes
Preparation
    Melt butter, add flour, salt and pepper.
    Gradually add milk, stirring until smooth and thickened.
    Add potatoes and simmer 7 minutes.
    Pour into shallow pan.
    Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 until tender, about 35 minutes.
    If desired, may be sprinkled with cheese before baking.
