Lisa'S Best Tasting Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. all-bran cereal, divided
    1/2 c. salad oil
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 c. boiling water
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. seedless raisins (optional)
Preparation
    Combine 1 cup of cereal, boiling water and oil; set aside. Combine flour, salt, sugar, baking soda and remaining cereal.
    Add eggs and milk to dry ingredients and mix well.
    Stir in cereal and oil mixture.
    Add raisins, if desired.
    Spoon batter into greased muffin tins.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
