Pasta And Shrimp Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. unpeeled fresh shrimp
2/3 (16 oz.) pkg. vermicelli
1 c. sliced ripe olives
1 c. sliced water chestnuts
3 Tbsp. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
3 c. boiling water
1 c. diced celery
1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. vinegar
1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Add shrimp to boiling water.
Cover, turn off heat and simmer 5 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water.
Peel and devein shrimp. Cook vermicelli according to package directions, rinse with cold water and drain.
Combine shrimp and vermicelli.
Add celery, olives, mushrooms and water chestnuts.
Combine mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper. Pour over pasta mixture and toss. Cover and chill.
Yields 8 servings.
