Cheddar Cheese With Chili Dip - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 tsp. shortening
1 large ripe tomato, finely chopped
1 small can green chilies, finely chopped
3 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation

In a skillet, saute the onion in the melted shortening.
Add the tomato, green chilies, spices and salt; cook over low heat for 15 minutes.
Stir in Cheddar cheese until melted.
Serve as a dip in a chafing dish with any kind of chips or crackers.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
