Buttermilk Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 c. shortening
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
    Combine the first 5 ingredients, mixing well.
    Cut in shortening.
    Combine buttermilk and soda; add to dry ingredients, stirring until all ingredients are moistened.
    Turn dough onto a floured board.
    Knead lightly 10 to 12 times.
    Roll dough out; cut with cutter.
    Place on a lightly greased baking sheet.
    Bake for 10 minutes.
