Slovenske Kolacky - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk, scalded
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening (half butter, half margarine)
    1 cake yeast
    4 c. flour
    3 eggs
Preparation
    Combine scalded milk, sugar and shortening. Cool to lukewarm. Add yeast. Stir well with mixing spoon.
    Add flour alternately with eggs as follows:
    1 cup flour, alternately with 1 egg, repeat and end up with 1 cup flour.
    Stir well after each addition.
    Let rise for 6 hours in a cool place.
