Royal Red Strawberry Topping - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sliced strawberries
1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 Tbsp. Amaretto
1/8 tsp. red food color
Preparation

Wash and hull strawberries.
Slice berries and mash.
Place sugar and cornstarch in a small saucepan, stirring to mix.
Add berries and color and cook on medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture boils and becomes quite thick.
Remove from pan and set aside to cool for about 10 minutes.
Stir in Amaretto.
Cool completely.
Yields about 1 1/2 cups.
