Peanut Butter Fudge - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk
1/3 c. peanut butter
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

In a 3-quart casserole, stir together sugar, milk and salt. Mix well.
Add peanut butter and cover.
Microwave on High for 6 minutes until hot and bubbly.
Stir well.
Microwave at Medium for 10 to 14 minutes, uncovered.
Stir well every 5 minutes.
When sufficiently cooked a few drops of mixture will form a soft ball in cold water (candy thermometer will read 235\u00b0).
Let candy stand without stirring at room temperature until lukewarm.
Add vanilla. Beat with spoon until thick and it loses its gloss.
Quickly stir in the nuts and pour into an 8 x 4 x 3-inch buttered loaf pan.
Cut when set.
Makes 1 pound.
