Banana Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 large can Carnation milk
    1 can water
    1/4 c. flour
    1 stick butter or margarine
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    6 eggs
    6 bananas
    1 pinch salt
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 box vanilla wafers
Preparation
    Separate egg whites.
    Blend flour, sugar and 1/2 can of milk. Add egg yolks; beat.
    Add remaining milk, water and vanilla; blend. Cook on medium-high heat until mixture gets hot, then lower temperature to medium heat, stirring constantly.
    Add butter when mixture is hot.
    Cook until desired thickness is reached.
