Crispix Caramel Mix - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. margarine
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. white Karo syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. soda
8 c. Crispix
2 c. peanuts

Preparation

Combine first four ingredients.
Bring to a boil on High in the microwave (2 to 3 minutes).
Boil 2 to 3 minutes longer, stirring several times.
Remove and stir in soda.
Mix well.
Pour over cereal and peanuts in a paper sack.
Put sack in microwave 3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds.
Spread out to cool on cookie sheet.
Stir often while cooling.
