Onion Rings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large Spanish or Bermuda onions
    3 c. buttermilk
    1 egg, beaten
    1 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. water
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. salad oil
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
Preparation
    Peel onions and slice 3/8-inch thick.
    Separate into rings. Pour buttermilk into shallow pan.
    Add onion rings and allow to soak 30 minutes.
