Candy Yams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 or 9 medium sweet potatoes
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 stick butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Boil potatoes until they begin to get soft.
    Cool.
    Peel and slice into patties.
    Place in 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Mix together both sugars, flour and cinnamon.
    Melt butter in saucepan and add dry mixture and 1 cup cold water.
    Bring to a boil again.
    When mixture thickens, add vanilla.
    Pour over potatoes and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
