Orange Tea Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    3/4 or 1 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
    Mix in shortening with fingertips.
    Add milk to make a soft dough.
    Roll out in a 1/4-inch sheet and spread with an orange filling.
    Roll like a jelly roll and cut off in 12-inch slices.
    Sprinkle with sugar and grated orange rind over the top.
    Bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 until lightly browned.
    Makes 18 small biscuits.
