Beef Strips Oriental - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. chuck, flank or round steak
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 pepper, sliced large
    1 carrot, sliced large
    1 1/4 c. chicken broth (1 cube in water)
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 cans chow mein vegetables
    1 c. chow mein noodles
    2 onions, sliced
    hot cooked rice
    2 celery stalks, cut in large pieces
Preparation
    Cut meat into 1/4-inch strips. Place in shallow dish.
    Combine ginger, garlic powder, pepper and sugar. Add soy sauce, lemon juice and 1 cup chicken broth; mix well. Pour over meat and marinate 2 to 3 hours.
