Savory Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium-sized potatoes, sliced crosswise and boiled
    2 Tbsp. butter
    4 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 c. grated American cheese or Velveeta
    1/2 small onion, chopped
Preparation
    Make a sauce of the butter, flour and milk.
    When thickened and smooth, remove from heat.
    Add cheese and stir until melted. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
    Add onion.
    In buttered dish, layer potatoes and sauce, ending with the sauce.
    Bake for 25 minutes at 350\u00b0 or until cheese starts to brown.
    Serves 6.
