Caramel Popcorn Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 (15 oz. can) sweetened condensed milk (2/3 c.)
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    5 qt. popped popcorn
Preparation
    In saucepan, combine butter, sugar and corn syrup. Stir well and bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir in condensed milk and simmer, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a soft ball stage (234\u00b0 to 238\u00b0). Stir in vanilla.
    Pour over popped corn and stir to coat.
    Butter hands lightly and shape into popcorn balls, about 3 1/2-inches in diameter.
    Makes about 15.
