Lynn'S Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising corn meal mix
    1/4 c. self-rising flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    enough buttermilk (must be buttermilk or the bread just won't be the same) to make batter the consistency of cake batter
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients.
    Grease an iron skillet with cold Crisco (this makes the bread not stick to the pan); pour the batter into the skillet.
    Bake slowly at about 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0 until bread is very brown and crispy.
    If you prefer it softer, don't brown quite as much.
