Old-Fashioned Gingersnaps - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. vegetable shortening (not oil)
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. molasses
1 egg
1 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. powdered cloves
Preparation

Mix first four ingredients together.
Mix remaining ingredients together and add to first mixture.
If soft, chill. Roll into 1-inch balls and dip in sugar.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
