Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. shortening
Preparation
    Blend all dry ingredients.
    Add enough milk (scant 1 cup) to moisten.
    Drop by spoon on top of boiling soup.
    Cook, covered, for 15 minutes.
    Very good with bean or chicken soup.
