Bean Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can each: kidney beans, green beans, yellow wax beans, butter beans and lima beans
    2 c. chopped celery
    1 sweet onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. cooking oil
    1 c. vinegar
    1/2 tsp. dill weed (optional)
Preparation
    Bring sugar, water, salt and oil to boil.
    Simmer 10 minutes and cool.
    Add vinegar and dill weed.
    Pour over beans and vegetables.
    Refrigerate overnight.
    Keeps a long time.
