Stroganoff(Brazilian) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. sliced beef
    2 onions, diced
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    pinch of salt and pepper
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 c. water
    3/4 c. ketchup
    1 can evaporated milk
Preparation
    Saute onions in butter (or oleo) with garlic.
    Add beef and fry; set aside.
    Make sauce of Worcestershire sauce, plus 1 cup water.
    Add beef to sauce and cook, stirring frequently.
    Add another cup of water when needed.
    Add the ketchup; bring to a boil.
    Lower heat to simmer.
    Add the evaporated milk; cook with cover on for 10 minutes.
