Fried Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium ripe green tomatoes
    1 egg
    1/2 c. bread crumbs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Slice tomatoes 1/2-inch thick.
    Beat egg slightly and season with salt and pepper.
    Dip tomato into the crumbs, then into the egg, then back into the crumbs.
    Fry in a small amount of grease in a skillet until brown on both sides.
