Mex Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. rice
    1/2 onion
    2 c. water
    1/8 tsp. cumin
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1/2 c. tomato sauce
    few green peppers
    2 Tbsp. canola oil
Preparation
    Brown onion and rice in canola oil until light brown.
    Add water, cumin and garlic powder.
    Cook rice mix for about 10 minutes.
    Add tomato sauce and green peppers and cook about 5 minutes.
    Check rice to see if it is done.
    Turn off.
    Rice will soak up water.
    Cover; let stand.
