Pumpkin Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    2 c. pumpkin
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. soda
    1 c. nuts
    1/3 to 2/3 c. boiling water (depending on how juicy the batter is)
Preparation
    Cream the shortening and sugar. Beat in eggs and mix in pumpkin.
    Mix nuts with dry ingredients and add alternately with boiling water.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
    Makes 2 loaves.
