Grandma'S Coconut Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pastry shell (not baked)
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. coconut
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
    Beat eggs until fluffy.
    Add sugar, milk and vanilla.
    Beat again until fluffy.
    Pour into unbaked pie shell.
    Sprinkle with nutmeg and 1 cup coconut.
    Bake 10 minutes at 450\u00b0.
    Reduce to 350\u00b0.
    Bake 35 minutes more until knife inserted comes out clean.
    Cool on rack.
