Sauerkraut Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 qt. sauerkraut
1 c. green pepper, cut up
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. celery, cut up
1 1/2 c. sugar (half white and half brown)
2/3 c. vinegar (half wine and half cider vinegar)
pimento for color
Preparation

Bring sugar and vinegars to a boil, then chill.
Wash kraut well and drain.
Combine with green pepper, onion, celery and pimento.
Add vinegar-sugar mixture and chill for a couple of hours or overnight.
